First, the bad news. The scriptures say all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God. The wages of sin is death, and according to verses like Matthew 25:46, Matthew 13:41-42 and Mark 9:43-48, all will suffer eternal punishment without Salvation.

The good news is that God so loved the world that whoever believes in Him will not die but have everlasting life. Those who have crossed from death to life are saved by grace, through faith, for good works, as evidenced by a turning from sin.

As you abide in Jesus, sanctification takes place and you begin to love what God loves and hate what God hates, effectively reversing the curse that befell us when we ate from the tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil.
