Version 3
Artist Agreement
Short, plain, and written in good faith. This is what you agree to when you claim or create an artist page.
1. Who this is for
Warfare Worship is not about entertaining users. It's about worshipping God. The goal is to reestablish King David's 24/7 worship initiative (which is where the Book of Psalms came from), in the modern age. It is a home for Christian music that mainstream platforms overlook. By joining as an artist you confirm you are a real person, and that you created (or legally control) the music and artwork you upload.
2. This is currently unpaid
Right now Warfare Worship is a passion project, not a paying platform. We do not charge listeners and we do not collect royalties on your behalf. ALTARED Church pays for the development, hosting and maintenance of this site at a loss. Listeners can tip you directly through the tip link on your artist page (just setup your stripe account to receive your funds), and 100% of those tips go to you. We never take a cut. As the model becomes clearer we fully intend to offer artist payments (King David paid his musicians), and if and when we do, we will tell you before anything changes.
3. One-year streaming license (non-exclusive)
You grant Warfare Worship a one year, worldwide, royalty-free, NON-EXCLUSIVE (meaning you can still post anywhere else you want) license to stream your submitted recordings and display your lyrics and artwork, unlimited, at no cost to us, or the listeners. Non-exclusive means exactly that: your music, lyrics, and art can live on Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube, Bandcamp, your own site, or any other platform you want, at the same time. We never ask for exclusivity. Your masters, songs, and copyrights remain 100% yours, always. The term renews only if you choose to renew it.
4. Marketing and likeness
You allow us to use your name, artist images, song titles, lyrics, artwork, and audio excerpts to promote your music and the platform — social posts, playlists, email, ads, and features on the site. We promote your catalog for free; this permission is what makes that possible. We will never use your likeness to endorse a product, a candidate, or a cause without asking you first.
5. What we ask of your uploads
Full-length masters, not clips. Complete, accurate lyrics for every song. No unlicensed samples and nothing you don't have the rights to. AI may be used only in moderation; the music, vocals, and artwork must be substantially human-made. Every track is screened for theology, reverence, and Christian witness; tracks that fall short are flagged for review and may be removed.
6. Verification
To claim or create an artist page you submit a photo ID or a short intro video so an administrator can confirm you are who you say you are. That file is stored privately, is visible only to administrators, and is used for verification only. We never publish it, sell it, or share it.
7. Leaving
You can ask us to remove your catalog at any time and we will take it down — we ask for up to 14 days to process it. The license in section 3 simply ends when your music comes down. No penalties, no fees, no hard feelings.
8. Good faith
We wrote this to be plain and fair, not to trap anyone. If something here doesn't sit right with you, email us before you sign and we'll talk it through. We would rather have an honest conversation than a signature.
